So let's talk Criminal Minds

black hearts can love
It's an okay show, the characters are interesting, and I seem to be partial to Hotchner, though I don't feel like I've got a handle on the episodes yet.

However, I know one thing. Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia? I ship it like burning. And I want to see it happen. Like, now.

Is that the black dude and then the kind of funky curvy girl? If so, let me relay a conversation I had with my mom upon viewing about five to ten minutes.

Me: Are the black dude and the curvy girl screwing?
Mom: No?
Me: Why the hell not?! That would be hawt.

A few minutes pass.

Me: Are you SURE they aren't knocking boots?

Yeah, that's them. :D

And I picked up the vibe in the first episode I watched too. LOL

Agreed on all points. Especially on it being an "okay" show and Morgan/Garcia. Hotch is my mother's favourite though, not mine. For me, it's a tie between Reid and JJ ;) Except I kinda like them all...

Meh, so true about it being just okay though. Like, I love, love, LOVE to watch it and there are some really great episodes but I have my doubts about profiling being an exact science and sometimes the outcomes or the solutions are little predictable or ridiculous.

You know what else needs to happen? Hotch/Prentiss. And frankly, they should just hire ME as a love interest for Reid... :p What? I'm pretty...kinda... ;)

I like the show but, as with everything I've watched since BtVS/AtS, I'm not emotionally involved, so it's just okay. The only thing I find a little ridiculous is the amount of time the BAU literally catches the serial killer they're hunting in the act. It might be because I'm a big fan of John Douglas and read most of his books about profiling, but the immediacy of the cases, the intimate way the BAU are involved, is a little beyond believable. But I get that's it's TV and they're more or less fun.

And you know you're gorgeous.

Nah, that's your reflection you're checking out ;)

I think all procedural cop shows tend to forget that there's a world of other official departmets out THERE. Barring perhaps Law & Order, which makes use of its detectives, its profilers and its CSIs correctly. The CSIs deal with the evidence, the detectives hold the guns and do the hardcore legwork and the profilers/shrinks analyse the criminals.

In Criminal Minds, they analyse, use guns *and* deal with evidence. In CSI, they deal with evidence *and* ask the suspects questions *and* carry around guns, LOL. I love both these shows but that does NOT happen in reality. Each respective person sticks to their field.

Right! In CM, they profile the UNSUB in Quantico and the next thing you know, they're in kevlar and heading up the SWAT team in breaking down the guy's door. I'v wondered how the local police agencies feel about the FBI team from Virginia busting in on their case and stealing the collar.

But again, I know they need the creative freedom, and I do enjoy a couple of those guys in Kevlar vests, so it's all good. :D

I love Criminal Minds, I think it's a great show. I do miss the older episodes with Mandy Patinkin though.

I actually like to love all of the characters there isn't one that I hate..which is a good thing. My favorites are Reid, Garcia and Prentiss but I love JJ and Hotch as well.

I love Derek/Garcia but I doubt they'll ever go there. I get the feeling that TPTB think that hottie Derek would never get together with Garcia.

I thought the same thing, sort of, but.....why all the vibey flirting, then? I mean, I watched one this morning, Tabula Rasa (I will never get away from BtVS), during flashbacks, it's Morgan who first notices Garcia and calls her "Gomez" by accident, then Baby Girl. And in another episode when someone says something about Latina women being competent, he laughs and says "That's my girl alright, but she's not as Latina as her name suggests".....oh, and why is it his laptop she always SKYPE's on?

I know. There's also not!Xander with the really bad fashion sense, and I'll probably get my heart crushed. *sigh*

I love the show - I've been watching it on A and E so it's all out of order. I, too, love Morgan and Garcia...I love the way he talks to her.
